SHC puts off 7th Wage Award case for Feb 23
The case of the APNS against the implementation of the 7th Wage Award which is pending adjudication before the court for more 
than 6 years has now been adjourned for a further hearing on Feb 23, 2010.
It may be noted that the case was fixed on 27-01-2010 before the division bench of the Sindh High Court Karachi and the court had in a previous hearing ordered that it intends to complete the case as soon as possible.
However, on 27-01-2010 the learned court could not commence proceedings of the case as counsel for the Dawn who had to reach Karachi via Islamabad could not arrive owing to bad whether. Consequently, the court fixed the hearing of the case for Feb 23.
The court observed that the decision of the case had already been delayed and taking into consideration that the hearing of the case would not be put off for an indefinite period, and if required so, the case would be adjourned for the next day i.e. Feb 24.
