Media Release: PFUJ to observe black day on April 6
ISLAMABAD, April 4:- The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has endorsed the call of Punjab Union of Journalists to observe Tuesday (April 6) as a black day throughout in the country against the Punjab government’s clear-cut tilt towards offending doctors against all norms.
The PFUJ, in a statement issued here on Sunday, asked all affiliated bodies to hold rallies, hosts black flags, organise processions in their respective UJs offices, newspapers centres and at press clubs with the collaborations of the civil society, human rights activists against registration of case.
The PFUJ said the way Punjab government played a game to save the doctors and implicated over 100 media persons in a baseless and fabricated cases of serious criminal charges exposes its true face and anti-press attitude.
The PFUJ made it clear that by such under-hand tactics media persons cannot be cowed down and they would continue their professional obligations to inform people about the facts of evens without any adulteration and padding, exposing the misdeeds of whosoever is found involved in unethical, immoral and unlawful activities and whosoever commits wrong-doing would have to pay price of his excesses.
